Around Finland with her boyfriendYesterday Manja sent us an email about her life in Tampere an she attached some great pictures.
She has been traveling around Finland and has visited lots of interesting places. I'd like to go to some of them.

Savonlinna's Fortress
A small EILC group went to Savonlinna some weeks ago. I've fantastic pictures but I wasn't there, so I'm waiting for Vera and Antonio. Maybe they could tell us something about the trip.
Read Manja's opinion about Finland:
There was so much to see.... Rovaniemi, Ranua (there is a really nice zoo), Posio, Kuusamo (I recommend you a hiking trip at the "Karhunkierros", where you can see great nature and cross the water by suspension bridges), the area near the russian border (Karelia) and one of the best was the fortress Olavinlinna in Savonlinna.

Hi, that´s great to hear that so many of you have visited my beautiful home town Savonlinna and my parent´s province in Carelia!! :) And also Kuusamo, Ranua, Posio etc, those are some very nice and special places which even many of the Finnish people doesn´t know. There you really can see some typical/special things of Finland, and you can see the great variety of the places and nature etc compared to the fact that our country is quite small.. So continue travelling and exploring new places whenever you have the possibility for that!! :)
