Nice evening tasting GLÖGIOn Sunday evening Mathieu, Radek and I went to Helsinki city center to see the Christmas lights and decoration. Today was The Opening of the Christmas Street in Aleksanterinkatu. This street is the most commercial here, full of shops and crazy people everyday.

Aleksanterinkatu
The opening ceremony was at one, we were late, about 1 hour ;), so we decided to walk around. We went walking to Senate Square and we came into one of the best shops in Helsinki, talking about nice gifts.

The outside temperature today was about -5 ºC, we were freezing, but we drank Glögi for free in this nice shop.

Glögi is a Scandinavian holiday drink that is the nectar of the Dice. Yo have to drink it hot, with some dry grapes and special Christmas cookies.

It was great and we came back again to drink more one hour later, after visit some places and walk along kauppatori.

There are two kinds of cookies that you should eat with glögi: piparkakku and joulutorttu.

Today we ate Piparkakku, with cinnamon, nice taste. I strongly recommend these cookies. Piparkakku are bake ginger cookies.

I haven't tried joulutorttu yet but I'll do, it looks like delicious.
