Last week events with - 20 ºCAs most of you know last week has been awful cold here, maybe Helsinki was the warmest point in Finland but in my Spanish skin I felt the most terrible cold ever ;)

Klaneettitie my snowed street during these days.
hopefully Saturday and Sunday were quite sunny, but with the thermometer at -20 we couldn't do so many thing as we expected. On Saturday Raul left Finland and was quite sad day but Sunday was better indeed!!

Balbina & Marta in the train
We took the train at noon to meet with people and start our cold and sunny excursion to the zoo.Why to the zoo??? I'll explain it later ;)

Miguel in the train
After train, the metro to Kulosaari. Maybe is quite funny name for Spanish, Can you imagine why???
Saari in Finnish is Island, and Kulo is something like Forest fire. So I don't understand at all this tricky name.

Kulosaari metro station.
We walked to Korkeasaari where the zoo is located. Korkea means High in Finnish if you are still interested about this crazy language ;) To reach the island you can cross the brigde or just walk above the sea, we chose the second option!!!

Frozen sea
Just look at the path we did!!

Frozen and snowed path on the sea, by Erasmus group.
With that sun the feelings were incredible: cold, sunlight, snow....... Anyway really great experience.

Frozen sea again.
Our friend Selcuk, from Turkey enjoyed a lot looking for the iced layer.

And finally he found it:

By the way all Eramus enjoyed with the frozen sea and went on to Korkeasaari, not to visit the zoo, but to see the ice sculpture competition!!!!
